The Leaky Cauldron
The Leaky Cauldron: otherwise known as Moseley. Moseley's nose has been running a little since it got cold. Sunday night though we put him to bed and at about 11p he woke up all stuffed up and coughing. He just couldn't breathe. Since he has a paci in the bed, he couldn't suck on it and breathe. He eventually went back to sleep after sitting up for a little bit.
I took his temperature and he didn't have one so I didn't give him any medicine. I also let him go to MDO ysterday since their policy is "no temperature." Plus, he doesn't seem to feel bad. He did fine but when he got home from MDO he wouldn't nap b/c he was getting backed up when laying down. So I did what every momma would, I held him and he went to sleep. It was so sweet, I hadn't held him sleeping for months. He only slept for a half an hour and then played the rest of the afternoon. By 6p he was exhausted and could barely keep his eyes open. We put him down then and it took him a few minutes to fall asleep. He slept all night but we could hear him coughing and sputtering. This morning he seems to be the same, happy but congested. I stuck him in a steamy hot shower to try and clear his throat and we tried saline drops and a bulb syringe for his nose. We'll see if he takes a nap this morning :)

A very busy weekend!
We went to Decatur to visit Kevin's parents and to host a shower for Moseley's god-sister. Friday night we got into Decatur about 10p at which point Moseley woke up and decided he would play with his Nonna and Granddad a bit. He played until about midnight. Then we decided he should go to sleep.
Saturday, while I hosted a baby shower for Allison Pullen, Aunt Sandra and our cousin Kasey came over to play with Moseley. Kasey is pregnant and due in March. KASEY AND PHILLIP ARE HAVING A BOY!!!
Saturday after the shower, Tabbi came over from Huntsville to visit us (Moseley mainly). We then all had steak and potatoes for dinner, yum!
Sunday, we headed to the Schiller Farm in Clanton for James first birthday! He's not sure what to think about everyone singing at him! It was a great party, Moseley had fun playing with the other babies.

Patch pt. 2
The great pumpkin
Yesterday, Moseley and I joined Catherine and James, Anna and Jimmy at the Grand Ole Pumpkin Patch in Clanton. It just so happened that we were celebrating James 1st Birthday! So crazy how fast time flies. The three boys had fun and didn't complain despite the freezing rain! We thought we'd get some cute pics of them in their overalls. It was a challenge but we managed to drag the boys, our new pumpkins, and our gear back to the car.

Bar Induction
Kevin had his induction to the Alabama State Bar today. It was very nice.
Click here for some pics of Kevin and his friend David at lunch and David and his dad.
Notice Kevin's special tie. It was his "Bar Induction present" from me and Moseley. He loved it! Oh and the deer in the pic was at the Farmer's Market Diner in their "special room." Crazy!

We are home!
We spent a wonderful week at Eden in Perdido Key. This past weekend we attended a birthday party for Wyatt Engwall in Perdido Bay. It was so much fun an we ended up checking out of Eden early and staying at the bay house until Sunday to spend some quality time with the Engwall's. We had too much fun, ate so much good food, and of course, played Dominoes!! The after-party included, Lee and her fiance Lee, Caroline and her boyfriend Steven, Georgia and Wyatt, Jen, Me, Moseley and Kevin. We ended the weekend with a good helping of burgers from Pirates Cove. You can't beat that!

We are at the beach!
Moseley and I made it to the beach this morning. We met Victoria at the outlets for a little bit of shopping and then went to lunch. Afterwards, the three of us came to the condo and hung out, walked on the beach, and sat by the pool. So much fun and it's just beginning.
Victoria took the picture below of Mose by the pool. It is a wonderful place appropriately called Eden, with a hot tub, indoor skylight pool, baby pool and tropical waterfall pool. The actual 2b/2b condo is really great too! Click here for more pics!

Dress for Laine
MDO!
Monday, October 22nd will be Moseley's first day of Mother's Day Out. He will go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday! I am very excited to be able to clean my house! I hope he makes friends there. Stay tuned for updates.
Crawling Part 2
Yesterday at the park Moseley was forced to crawl correctly (think hands and knees, not stomach). The grass was kind of rough and I don't think he wanted any contact with it. By the end of our visit, he was crabwalking so as not to touch the grass. Let's hope this continues...

Oh Happy Day!!
Yesterday was the best day ever! Why? I got 4 packages in the mail. I LOVE mail!!! What did I get, you ask?
1) The fluffiest, snuggliest pillows ever from Carmen! Thank you thank you! I couldn't wait to go to sleep. And I can attest (the next morning), they are the best pillows I have ever had! Oh, and they are a present for Kevin passing the bar but I tend to think I helped out on that a little bit :)
2) Moseley's new Chair insert (only fun b/c of #3)
3) Green Gingham Slipcover (with monogram) for Moseley's new chair. It's precious!
4) New sewing scissors!! 2 pairs of Gingher shears. I really like how much better they cut fabric than our meat scissors :)
As soon as Mose wakes up from his nap I will post some pictures of his new birthday chair!

Birthday Info
Because we are in Montgomery this year and not at our house in Birmingham, we are having Mose' 1st Birthday in Mobile. The only place we could have it was at my momma's house. So, November 11th, at 1:30pm we are having a birthday bash!

Today's Craft
Why, Why, Why?
So, the bib saga began in August. I ordered some bibs as birthday presents for Moseley, Laine, Jimmy, and James. They are "1st birthday" bibs and too cute. They said they were on backorder but would arrive September 19th. This date was a whole month before any of the wee ones birthday parties. No problem! Well, 9/19 came and went. I called last week and they informed me the bibs would ship on October 1st. Cutting it close but hey, they are THAT CUTE. Laine's birthday is first. As in, a week from Saturday. I was wondering if I should get her a backup bib just in case. Yesterday, a package came and lo' and behold, the bibs were here. Um, all of the boys' bibs came, Laine's did not! THE ONLY ONE I NEEDED PRONTO! It's like I ticked off the gods of mailorder and didn't know it.
And then they just get it...
Ok, so this week has been a week of discovery. Moseley figured out that he can sit up by himself, stand up in his crib by himself and truly feed himself. I had bought a huge box of Gerber biter biscuits for Mose and he just played with them. Today, he ate an entire one without even putting it down! Oh and we are late for our morning nap... why? Because Moseley kept standing up in his crib and then letting go and falling (usually in a pain causing way). My child has serious thrill issues!!

Red Letter Day
Yesterday, I went to wake Moseley up for church (after his morning nap) and he was standing in his crib!! This is the first time he has done this. Late last week he had just perfected sitting up from a laying position so I wasn't expecting this so soon. For the rest of the day he pulled up on anything he could get a grip on, arms, legs, couches, chairs, baby gates... anything! I can't believe how big he is.
