Prêt-à-Porter

Moseley loves to dress up. He likes socks, shoes and hats, especially. It doesn't matter what color or style. Lucky for him between me and Kevin we have plenty of "ready-to-wear" things available for his enjoyment. Here is a taste of the the outfits he picked out to wear around the house and to school.

This is what he wore to school yesterday. He picked out the hat and coat which were my brother's when he was little.

This was an outfit he chose to wear BEFORE school yesterday. Those are some of my many slipper-socks (love 'em) and looked like go-go boots on him. He is also wearing the cutest Pumpkin bib that Victoria sent him last year.

Typical "cheese" stance, derriere sticking way out and face pointing downwards. Quite possibly the worst stance for getting a decent picture.

His adorable and reversible (to a Turkey) outfit that my momma sent him for Halloween/Thanksgiving. He wore this on Monday with the pumpkin socks Victoria sent him this year. He wasn't too happy about taking pictures b/c it was kind of cold outside.

Happier now that we are playing "Heee-pie!" (our version of Pee-Pi)

The results are in...

As you might remember from this post, I was looking for help on deciding on a jogging stroller. Well, I finally decided. A few months ago it was obvious to me we'd need a jogger with snack trays for both Moseley and new baby... so we bought a Bob Duallie Revolution Stroller! I know it wasn't one of the ones we'd mentioned but it ended up being the one that fit all of our needs. Of course, I will let you know when Sweet Pea gets here how much use it gets :)

As an added bonus I ended up getting a no sales tax and no shipping deal plus an extra 20% off! It's amazing how much money I save my sweet husband on a daily basis ;)

Busy Weekend!

Friday started off fun with a visit from Moseley's Godmother, Aunt Alli and God-sister, Ella Kate. I hate that we don't get to spend more time with them but love seeing them when we do!

Saturday morning we headed to Calera to the Train Depot to ride the Pumpkin Patch Express for James Schiller's 2nd birthday. James' mom Catherine is a dear friend of mine and we couldn't wait to celebrate with them. Moseley LOVED riding the train, looking at the train, and everything else about the train. He also rode the hayride with Kevin and was fascinated by the Tractor that pulled the trailer. Below are some great pics Kevin took with our cruddy camera...

Saturday after Moseley's 3 hours nap we walked down the street to attend Art and Music on the Green and Uncorked on the Green - the art/music and beer/wine festivals that were in uor neighborhoods greenspace. It was packed with awesome vendors (all the beer and wine was FREE) and tons of people came out. I hope that the turnoutwill require an encore next year.

Sunday we had a Neighborhood Halloween Parade and Carnival. I hosted an activity (Ring-the-Pumpkin) while Kevin, the Farmer, and Moseley, the Cow, walked in the parade, ate hotdogs, drank Juice Boxes and jumped in the Moonwalk.

The weekend was probably one of the most fun family weekends ever! Moseley was a dream baby and Kevin is the best husband in the world.

Tag...

Katie, tagged me and I am supposed to share 7 random things about myself on my blog, then tag 7 other people with blogs. You lucky 7 can tag yourself :) By the way, most of these are thematically stolen from Katie.

1) My favorite smells are crayons, play-doh and gasoline (I swear I don't huff, just like the way the gas smells when I am filling up at the pump - which is down to $2.83 here!)
2) I drink pickle juice out of the jar and eat Red Wine Vinegar with a spoon.
3) I love to/have to sleep. Last Saturday I took 3 naps in one day and I got a full nights rest before and after. This isn't a pregnancy phenomenon either; my mom, brother and I all have a history of low hematocrit % so we are pretty "nappy" people.
4) I hate surprises. I like to buy my own gifts and/or open my gift early and I would LOVE TO KNOW WHAT GENDER MY BABY IS!!
5) The song Ava Maria makes me cry. Have you heard the Jewel version? It's on her Christmas CD which also makes me cry.
6) I wish someone would potty train my son for me.
7) I love, love, love a good Shirley Temple.

School Pictures

Moseley had pictures a few weeks back at Mother's Day Out. I cut his hair shortly afterwards - as you can see it was much needed. We got the proofs back today and I want to order these as his 2-yr pics.

Help me decide which one(s) to get!

Oh my gosh - TWO cars!

No, we didn't buy a second new car (do you think we are crazy!).

We CAN however get both of our cars comfortably in the garage... Kevin and his dad finished re-allocating the last of the boxes that were blocking our ultimate goal of getting Kevin's old pink Jeep off the new streets of Ross Bridge. And we (they) succeeded.

That's what 2-car garages are for!

Spread Eagle

Moseley started to not feel well Friday after school. I think he has a mild cold b/c he has barely eaten anything in 2 days plus he is congested. I even offered him junk food and he wouldn't eat it! The plus side is he still sleeps at night and this afternoon I got to hold him while he took a nap - too sweet.

So... from past posts you know what happens when Moseley is sick. He gets to watch Cars.

I took this pic yesterday afternoon while he was watching Cars. You can see I only partially got him undressed before he was completely distracted. Looks comfy, eh? You ought to try it (just don't send pictures).

Funny Story

Kevin and I hosted a baby shower for my good friend Tabbi a few weeks back. We all had so much fun and she got a ton of adorable stuff. It was great also to hang out with the other hosts...

During the shower Kevin was on "duty" in the backyard playing with Moseley on the swingset with the other children. Apparently, I forget the gibberish that comes out of my son's mouth. After a particularly long sentence of nothing-ness, a little boy looked at Kevin and asked, "does your family speak English?" Kevin said "Yes, does yours?" The little boy said, "Yes, but I can't understand a word that boy is saying" (while pointing at Mose). Then Kevin said "Neither can we!"
