We went on down to the Birmingham Zoo and they all asked for you...

Yesterday, Katie and I took our sweet little boys to the zoo in Birmingham. James and Catherine met us there and we took the boys to a sign language class. We then at lunch at La Paz in Crestline and took a gander at Ross Bridge. We had a blast up until the drive home. Both boys were tired and tired of being in the car.

A lesson on Advent

What is Advent?
Advent is derived from the latin word for "coming." Advent is the season before Christmas during which Christians anticipate the coming of the savior.

Tonight after church we made an advent wreath. It was so fun and Moseley was great in the nursery even though he didn't get to bed until 7pm!

Happy Birthday to Mose!

Today is Moseley Bancroft Garrison's very first birthday. He is ONE year old, this very day! It seems very hard to believe that he was born this day last year, at 12:19p, weighing a mere 8 lb, 13 oz. Oh, what I would give to pick up an 8lb baby again. Yet, I am so thankful for him and his health. He has been such an Angel this past year. The Lord has blessed my family so far and above any expectations. Below are some pics of the birthday boy lounging and drinking his "milk."

Moseley's newest trick is to say "aaahhh" on command. Such a smart boy.

He loves his milk, he can sign now telling us when he wants some.

So happy!

We are Healed!

All is well in the Garrison household. Apparently, we caught what the Litton's had last month.

Clarification: We caught the same thing the the Litton's had, they did not actually pass on this awful disease to us. Thanks Allison :)

I feel sick. Awful, awful, sick

It's contagious! It's an epidemic!

So, Moseley has had $%*^# (cha cha cha) for a few days now. No other symptoms, just a leaky diaper.

Then, last night, John (Kevin's bro) got sick, really sick. And he has to fly home today.

Then, this morning I got sick, really, really sick.

Then, Moseley threw up on the kitchen floor. Projectile *%$*$-ing and all the while smiling and playing. He apparently didn't feel bad. I however felt like death for the 3 hour drive home.

And now, as a grand finale, Kevin is sick... very, very sick.

It's gross and we have no washer. Have pity on us. Come take care of us.

On the advice of counsel (my mother) this entry has been edited.

NMH

Not much is going on around here. This week has been filled with unpacking and sorting laundry and the beginning's of repacking for Thanksgiving in Decatur. Caroline and Steven are coming in from Little Rock Saturday. I am super excited. We have a babysitter so that we and the Tucks can take them out on the town. Let's hope Montgomery is all they dreamed it would be.

Moseley's Birthday: take two

Moseley had a second birthday party in Mobile for our family. About 30 people were there. He got a lot of cool stuff including board books, a ride-on Thomas the Tank Engine, a lion, a jungle pod, and blocks. He is a lucky boy! He also got a mint chocolate cake from the Pastry Shop, now that's lucky!

His cake, it was huge, we had a ton left over.

I am trying something new today...

Ok, since the holidays are coming up I decided I would try my hand at "winning things." I do have laudry to sort, maybe my time would be better served doing that? Ok, so 10 min a day will go to winning stuff. It will be an experiment. Do all those sites that give away free stuff work? Let's see...

Moseley's Birthday: take one

Today, we had Moseley's Birmingham friends over for a pre-party celebration. I couldn't very well ask them to come to Mobile for a party. Anna, Jimmy, Catherine, James, Allison, and Laine came from Birmingham. Katie, my friend who lives here, came too. We ate lunch and let the babies play. It was really fun and Moseley racked up with the following toys:
  • 80 piece MegaBloks
  • Little Tikes Handiworker Workhorse
  • 3 Tonka Trucks and a cool 4-square ball
  • An Oinking Pig bowl that is activated when you use the special spoon
We have such great friends and more importantly a great network of babies. I will post pictures as soon as I get them from someone else (battery problems).

I made cupcakes and spelled out "Happy Bday Moseley" in icing. Cheesy, I know.

So Sad

Kevin and I have decided we are going to sell our house in Birmingham. It's sad b/c we love that house, it has tons of charm and was pretty big for just the two of us. Also, we lived there 3 years so it is comfortable for us. On the flip side, since Moseley has arrived, we have become different people. We live for him. We want him and his future siblings to be happy and have lots of family visiting them. We are fast running out of room in the Southside house. Also, because none of our family lives nearby, we HAVE to have a guestroom. A guestbath would be nice too. Also, a lot of our back yard is a parking pad. I don't want Kevin to pull in one day to park and hit Moseley. So, we are exploring our options. We can't really do anything until we know the house will sell. Please say some prayers for us that we find a buyer for our house that will love it as much as we do.

**If you know of anyone in need of a 3bed/2bath house in the five points neighborhood, please let me know! It has all hardwoods, crown moulding, ceramic tile in baths and sunporch, storage shed, unfin. basement, attic, new heater and a/c, all appliances stay (incl. wash/dry). Asking $179,900

Happy Halloween!

Yesterday, Moseley went to school and wore his pumpkin bib. He looked so cute. He always has so much fun at school with his teacher, Miss Lyn.

Last night we cheated. We didn't trick or treat (and no trick or treaters came knocking) so Kevin and I put Mose to bed and enjoyed a quiet evening together. Plus, I had been sick and wasn't up to partying. We did, however, take some cute pictures of Moseley in his costume. Holy cow! Hopefully, he won't be picky next year and can wear this costume again!
